1K comments, first impressions/relationship meme, where the hell did all of those comments come from so quickly, etc.. Be warned that I will be asking for reverses. Also, that this might take me a while, since yesterday's internet blackout left me quite behind.
Erik, you don't count, you're getting your own essay or something.

Kind of like my replies, you mean? |DD
Despite being from a completely different world, Charles definitely feels more parental toward Brianna than he does toward the X-kids. Part of it is the age thing, with her being younger, and part of it being the fact that she is from a different world, so he doesn't feel like he's... inheriting someone else's relationship with her. So it's more straightforward! She's a kid! She's been through shit! She needs some adults that she can rely on! And Charles would love to provide that for her and will try his best. He's well aware that she finds the telepathy thing kind of creepy, but he's used to that, so it doesn't bother him. And that actually also increases the parental feeling -- mom's gotta do what mom's gotta do. :|||
...and then there's the Erik factor. Charles is... actually pretty glad about Erik and Breeze's relationship. He thinks that Brianna has a solid enough head on her shoulders and strong enough relationships with the X-kids that she won't be, like, immediately brainwashed into "KILL ALL HUMANS" or anything (even if she does have... sympathies -- Charles sees a little bit of Angel in Brianna, something that he can't quite reach, for some reason), and that the trade-off -- Erik having a kid of his own (given how his relationships with the X-kids will always be influenced by his future/alternate selves) -- can only do good. Even if it would make Charles extremely uncomfortable to see Brianna running around with Magneto's helmet on. CHARLES WILL RUN INTERFERENCE IF HE FEELS THAT HE NEEDS TO but he doesn't see a need for that yet.

When Brianna first met Charles she had a hard time because... Professor X is supposed to be old and bald, not young and groovy. She's going to call him Professor X forever, just because that's his name, to her. But after Magneto showed up, she got over them being younger pretty quickly. The more muties that show up, the more used to different timelines and universes she gets.
Yes, the telepathy creeps her out. Brianna's kind of weird - she has trouble hiding her emotions from others, but she gets really uncomfortable when people see her being vulnerable. A big part of her consciousness is devoted to building herself up so that when she acts like she's totally capable and awesome and can never lose, she actually believes that. But underneath is a lot of doubt, and when people point out that part of her and force her to admit that she can't always win, she canonically gets pretty upset. :| So knowing that Charles can, at any time, go looking around in her mind and pick out any self-doubt or worry that she has, freaks her out a lot. And she doesn't really believe him when he says he won't do it if she doesn't want him to - he's an adult and adults lie to kids, the end.
BUT OVERALL, she does really like Charles. He's Professor X, so she knows he's a good guy and wouldn't purposefully do anything to hurt her. She totally doesn't get his relationship with Magneto, but she told Jubilee that she agrees with the nicknames Momfessor and Dadneto, so I think subconsciously she understands that they are married. :|a
