So, Charles is a telepath. To steal from my Stats/Permissions:

Super-duper telepath. Including, but likely not limited to...

-Basic mind-reading. It's just like any other sense -- he can be just casually hearing the thoughts of people around him or be actively listening in.
-Commandeering other people's senses (kind of like having human spy drones...)
-Commandeering other people's, uh... persons. Basically, he can turn other people into human puppets. It's entirely as god-moddy as it sounds.
-Talking to people inside of their heads (which, given his ability to hear other people's thoughts, means that he can have entirely mental conversations with people, telepaths or not)
-Exploring memories, even those no longer consciously remembered
-Erasing memories

Only other telepaths seem to know when Charles is being sneaky inside of their heads (sometimes he's obvious).

If there's anything mentally remarkable about your characters, I'd love it if you would please drop me a comment! Mental shields, mental blocks, amnesia, telepathy, etc. and anything else you can think of that might be relevant to our interests.

Obviously, I am not going to godmode anyone without their permission. I am usually on IRC if I'm RPing and can also be reached through gmail/gchat, so please, please talk to me! I'd love to do all sorts of stuff, and the sky's the limit and I put my IC powers at your OOC service for funtimes.

Also, if you want to have fun with it, I think something that might be fun would be that, if you ever feel like it, please feel free to indicate what your character is thinking during any thread that we're having together. It doesn't even have to have anything to do with anything. If we're talking about srs bizness monsters attacking camp and your character has a random craving for pizza, feel free to note it! Again, sky's the limit. If there's anything that you think would be funny or dramatic or meaty, I want to take advantage of that opportunity!

Finally, Charles is not shy about the brain-talking. I'm going to use italicized blue text as my mental convention. If you see that talking to you, then that's Charles talking with his brain! And if you have some sort of mental shield that means that Charles is shouting into the wind, just continue with your BAMF business, you.

Basically: I don't want to god-mode people. Communication is key, and I always, always want to talk to you. And I also am really eager to do all sort of crazy telepathic shit with you.

OKAY HERE GOES PROFESSOR X.

Aurica is a Reyvateil and her mind cannot be read as it is protected. What would happen if he tried would be that the first time the teddy bear in this icon (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/106279918/25062993) would appear and tell him in an exaggerated Spanish accent that Aurica doesn't want him there and that if he comes back then she will hurt him. Then if he does try again, Aurica's mind will subconsciously summon power from the core of their planet to burn his brain out. I. Yeah. It happens. it's awkward. I DON'T WANT TO FRY PROFESSOR X.

Aradia is a mutant troll which means that she's actually psychic and also susceptible to people using psychic powers on her. Though really given that she's an alien troll with godmode knowledge of the game they are in who would want to read her? NOT ME.

Elliot is a ... a character I play. This means that he had amnesia for ages, remembered a whole bunch of traumatic memories, got mind controlled and is dead. :') There may be some kind of lingering malevolent presence in his mind, though Elliot made a pretty good job of excising that by tearing himself apart. GOOD TIMES. also grieving his dead family and himself THAT HE KILLED.

Luca just has terrible self-esteem and a god's soul chilling in the back of his mind. Feel free to poke around.

Ronan is a wizard and therefore a telepath in his own right. There are some minor shields about OMG GALAXY SECRETS and stuff because he doesn't want to fry the brains of other telepaths, but Ronan's fairly open about what he's thinking.

Traci is fairly open too.

Julian is going to break poor Charles' mind. :( Julian is pretty much going to assume after a bit that Charles is from Yet Another Stupid Alternate Universe because Emma Frost in Julian's universe is not old enough to have gone palling around with Xavier and Magneto. It's cool, he's met Nightcrawler and Rogue, so he already knows about alternate universes. He's also from "current" continuity, as opposed to Jubilee and Cessily/Mercury, who are from different timelines.

Julian was a student of Xavier's and while he was there he was a favourite of Emma Frost's, who has decided to try being good for a while and is actually a fairly competent teacher when she's not being petty. While at Xavier's Julian has watched a bus of his friends get blown up, the school get blown up by people who hate mutants, fought a robot intent on killing all mutants, rescued his best friend from a lab where they experimented on her to make a weapon, went to hell to rescue his classmates, went to rescue the first mutant baby born after a massive depowering of like 90% of all mutants and got impaled horribly and almost died, got disowned by his parents, Magneto told him to come back when he was legal and not sixteen ...

Then things got nasty.

He got roofie'd and then injected with the Legacy Virus so that his powers would go out of control and blow up the UN Building because this is a good plan. Then martial law is declared and any mutants caught on the streets after curfew will be arrested - Julian decides to ~make a stand~ and gets himself arrested on national television, where he is dumped into a prison cell and has his powers ripped out of him horrifically once a day in order to power this guy who kills mutants. Then he gets freed, they all go and live in this island off the coast of California and then like 100,000 mutant killing robots from the future travel back in time to try and kill off the last few mutants that have powers and Julian gets his hands blown off. Then he got mindfucked into thinking that he was in this war of attrition for three years and has nineteen years of repressed memories.

I detail all of this because by the sliding timescale I think all this happened in three months? At most? PROBABLY TWO?

ON THE UPSIDE, XAVIER AND MAGNETO ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO SAVE MUTANT KIND? SCOTT SUMMERS IS THEIR DOUCHELEADER? BONUSES?

But yeah, Julian is a messed up, traumatised ball of adolescent angst who flips between being someone who actually wants to get over his trauma and someone who just wants everyone to go the fuck away and leave him alone to sulk forever. He is rather skeptical that mutants and humans can live together in peace because they KEEP TRYING TO KILL HIM JFC, thinks that mutants are superior and clings to that in face of all trauma that he sustains as a result of being a mutant ... oh and he has an abandonment complex about how everyone leaves him and he's sick and tired of being the one left behind. MARVEL SURE WAS KIND TO HIM. he's actually gotten better in camp! Canon says that he's even more bitter and miserable.

Julian can't tell whether someone's reading him, because he's a psionic and not a telepath! That said, he's also savvy enough around telepaths to get their attention by thinking their name and yelling at them enough until they pay attention to him, despite being a telekinetic instead.
