1K comments, first impressions/relationship meme, where the hell did all of those comments come from so quickly, etc.. Be warned that I will be asking for reverses. Also, that this might take me a while, since yesterday's internet blackout left me quite behind.

So M'gann inspires lots of ~FEELINGS~ in Charles. Even if she weren't a non-human-flesh-toned teenaged-looking shapeshifter girl, he'd still have big brotherly feelings toward her, because that what he does. But, well. She does. So there's a whole host of issues that she stirs up inside of him. Charles is smart enough inside of his own head that he's not really transferring any of his feelings regarding Raven onto M'gann, but M'gann definitely makes him think about Raven. And it makes him both sad and happy, because M'gann is so happy (which makes him happy) in ways that Raven was not (which makes him sad).

And then there's the telepathy thing! Charles was really super-thrilled by that. Other mutants in general are still pretty new to him -- except for Raven, it's only been a few months that he's known the others -- and telepaths are especially thrilling. The only telepath that he's known in his life has been Emma Frost, who was kind of mean and involved in that whole "start WWIII and kill all of the humans" thing. And being a telepath for Charles is... it's a thing where he understands so much about other people (on a certain level, at least) but there's no one else who understands what he goes through. He lives in a world where he knows other people's minds and there's no one else who can know his in that same way. So it's pretty whoa for him to meet someone who can and for whom it's so normal.

Of course, right now, he's being closed off because he's on such uncertain mental/emotional ground and has never had to deal with another person being able to know him like that when he's in such a state. He's not used to not being the person with the greatest degree of control, and it does make him uncomfortable. But he's also still Charles, who is willing to roll with new developments, so while he's been experiencing a set-back that has been manifesting itself as caution since Erik arrived, he's certainly not resistant.

...so yeah.
